FTC Qualifier - Railroad Rally!
Bedford Robotics is excited to host the 2024 Bedford First Tech Challenge Qualifier on November 15th and 16th!
What is FIRST Robotics?
Combining the excitement of sport with the rigors of science and technology. We call FIRST Robotics the ultimate sport for the mind. High-school student participants call it “the most fun you’ll ever have.”
Under strict rules and limited time and resources, teams of students are challenged to raise funds, design a team "brand," hone teamwork skills, and construct industrial-size robots to play a difficult field game against like-minded competitors. It’s as close to real-world engineering as a student can get. Volunteer professional mentors lend their time and talents to guide each team. Each season ends with an exciting FIRST Championship.
Bedford Robotics Programs
A program for high school aged students (9th-12th grade), this is the highest level of FIRST Robotics. In the FIRST Robotics Challenge, students apply their designs and skills to not only their specific challenge, but to solve real world problems.
FRC
FTC
This program is for Jr. High aged students (6th-8th grade). The five FIRST Tech Challenge teams in Bedford focus on expanding students’ ideas and elevating their work to another level.
FLL Explore
This program gives students in kindergarten to 3rd grade the opportunity to become interested in science and engineering. Bedford currently has 14 FIRST Lego League Explore teams.
FLL Challenge
A program for 4th and 5th grade students, Bedford has six FIRST Lego League Challenge teams. The goal of this program is to further students’ knowledge and interest in STEAM practices.
